“Jesus baut nicht auf Gewalt; er leitet keine militärische Revolte gegen Rom ein. Seine Macht ist anderer Art: Es ist die Armut Gottes, der Friede Gottes, in dem er die allein rettende Macht sieht.” So schreibt [Benedikt XVI.] Joseph Ratzinger in seinem Jesus-Buch (2. Teil) auf Seite 20 seine Ansichten über gewaltfreien Widerstand, der im Frieden Christi wurzelnd zu finden ist! Da jeder Mensch die Liebe Gottes zunächst geschenkt bekommt, und dies in den Sakramenten der Taufe, Buße und Firmung sich manifestiert, so ist er im späteren Leben aufgefordert dieses “Friede sei mit Euch!” seinen und unseren Mitmenschen weiterzugeben, um als mündiger Christ in seiner, und auch in unserer Mission dieses “pars pro totum” in der Frohbotschaft mit Gottes Hilfe zu verwirklichen zu wollen! “Pax vobiscum!”

Gandhi war von Jesu Friedensbotschaft in der “Bergpredigt” tief berührt und enttäuscht, dass so wenige Christen diese ernst nehmen.

Vielen Dank für dieses Interview; auch ich wurde auf diesem Seminar mit Jean und HIldegard Goss stark inspiriert für die Frage der aktiven Gewaltlosigkeit. Die Arbeit des Ehepaars Goss Mayr wurde in Österreich viel zu wenig gewürdigt – das waren beste Lehrmeister für alles, was Wolfgang an nötigen Schritten aufzählt. Doch gibt es auch heute gute Leute dafür: Pax Christi, Versöhnungsbund !
