Vanessa was the First Fridays For Future climate activist in Uganda and founded Youth for Future Africa and the Rise up Climate Movement, which aims to amplify the voices of activists from Africa. She was chosen to speak at the COP25 gathering in Spain, and present at the World Economic Forum in Davos. In 2022 she received the “Helmut-Schmidt-Zukunftspreis” in Germany and held a great speech.
