Der gelernte Förster und Holzbauunternehmer beschreibt Bäume wie Weggefährten. Im Film "But Beautiful" von Erwin Wagenhofer oder in seinem jüngsten Buch "Der Weg des Kirschbaums" als natürliches Vorbild für unser menschliches Zusammenleben. Wir besuchen ihn schon zum 2. Mal physisch in seinem Baumhaus neben dem Holzbau-Forschungszentrum in Goldegg im bergigen Salzburger Land, das auch gemietet werden kann.

Die Ausstrahlung von Erwin Thoma ist für mich in sich ein Beleg für die Glaubwürdigkeit seiner Worte. Ich bin begeistert. Das Interview hat eine tief klingende Resonanz in mir. Insbesondere den Hinweis, Werkzeuge zum Leben nicht als ein erstrebenswertes Ziel misszuverstehen und in der Folge dann ein erfülltes Leben zu verpassen, gilt es immer wieder ins Bewusstsein zu holen, weil natürlich auch Interessen in unserer Gesellschaft existieren, die dazu beitragen, dass Werte wie Gemeinwohl, Hingabe, Zufriedenheit weniger Aufmerksamkeit bekommen, denn damit ist kein Geld zu machen.
